TechniChlor Hot Tub and Spa Chlorine Generator

Save time and money with TechniChlor, while it takes care of your sanitation needs! TechniChlor is designed for spas up to 600 gallons and can produce up to 20 grams of chlorine per day.

It can be a challenge to to keep the water in your spa or hot tub crystal clear and smelling nice. If you forget to add chlorine or bromine for a single day or the chlorine feeder runs out and you donít refill it that could lead to spa problems. Due to the higher temperature of the water the chemical balance is critical to be continuously maintained to keep it safe. Proper spa maintenance leads to your spa being safe when you want to use it. Even if the water looks good you should measure the chemical balance before use. Spa chlorine generators can greatly reduce spa problems and spa maintenance as they continuously make chlorine (or bromine) every day so you donít have to. The TechniChlor makes chlorine on a 6 hour cycle. Every 6 hours it starts making chlorine, and based on the power level it will turn off at some point in that 6 hours and remain in standby mode, then at the next 6 hours it will start again. At power level 5 it will be on for 1.5 hours out of every 6. If you use the spa and let the TechniChlor know by tapping it, then the TechniChlor will be put into boost mode and be on for 3 times the normal on time or 4.5 hours out of every 6 for a full day. The boost mode helps to add the chlorine back from the spa being used. Many swimming pools now have electronic chlorine generators as they help to prevent problems and require less maintenance while making the water soft and more pleasant for the swimmers.

5 of 5 Chlorine generator April 13, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Lima, NY United States
Bought this one to replace a worn out older unit. This one has three generation plates versus two in the prior unit, so it should last longer. It is working great. Received it in about six days after ordering. It would be helpful if there was a package tracking link to know when to expect it.

5 of 5 Lovin it! April 6, 2013

This is the best way to go.  Small, compact, no external controller, fully automatic, shut off when removed to swim, starts when re-inserted, no controls to fiddle with. Uses economical softener salt.  Worth the little extra cost for hand free operation.

5 of 5 Chlorine Generator is Way To Go October 3, 2012
Reviewer: BruceB from DC Metro Area
Added salt to the water (per directions in TechniChlor manual) and increased hardness, then installed the chlorine generator...couldn't be much easier.  No more constantly remembering (forgetting) to add chlorine to spa....water is excellent quality, all the time.

5 of 5 shipping box September 23, 2011
Reviewer: Roy Hewitt from Waterford, ON Canada
box was lacking packing material. It was in rough shape when I picked it up. The container inside appears to be ok. I will try it out when I change the hot tub water in a couple of weeks.
Thanks your service is great.
